Almost Walking

           Amelia is almost walking now!  She has taken a few steps and stands up by herself very well.  The cutest thing is that she dances to anything that sounds like music. When I sing the ABC song, she will bop up and down.  I can’t believe our baby is almost 10 months old already.  Time sure flies by.

            A few months ago, we decided to change her daycare.  It was the best decision.  This new daycare has art lessons, they go outside twice a day, sing songs, and read books.  Today, I noticed that she kept putting a toy up to her ear and babbling.  I then put my phone up to my ear and said “Hello”.  She cracked up!  She did it again and it sounded like she said “hello”.  Her “art” has really progressed too.  They do finger painting and they glue tissue paper to different cutouts.  It makes happy to know that she is learning in this new environment.

"Girly Girl" or "Tom Boy"?

         I often wonder what Amelia will be like when she gets older.  Will she be a “girly girl” or a “tom boy”?  Me, I was a little of both.  One of my favorite things to do was climb trees.  If I was outside, I was in a tree somewhere.

         On the other hand, I loved dancing.  Every year, I looked forward to the recital.  My family would all pile up and watch the ballet that I had been practicing for all year.  My part was less than five minutes with 15 other little girls, but I thought I was the center of the show.

         Will she like sports or ballet?  Hubby says she will be a Motorcross star.  Whatever she chooses, she will be the best in my eyes.

Little Miss Social Butterfly

Amelia is really starting to show her personality.  She’s the little social butterfly lately.  The ladies at her new daycare say that the other teachers come in there just to see her.  They said “she’s always happy and makes us smile”.  I couldn’t be more proud.
